It was a private residence and resting place of José Fermín Iturrioz Llaguno, an influencing person in the Arrechavala Company, and his wife, Onelia Méndez Rubí. The name Josone is the result of joining the first letters of José and Onelia, as an expression of the love for one another. In it coexist natural, historical, architectural, cultural, floral and ornithological values. It boasts an artificial lagoon and several restaurants.
The Casa de la Música of Varadero features the most renowned salsa musicians and other popular music inviting guests to follow the beats between drinks.
