About  Brisas Guardalavaca

Brisas Guardalavaca Hotel is part of Brisas Brand, 4 stars all inclusive resorts of Cubanacan Hotels, located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba: Guardalavaca, in Holguin Province, where Christopher Columbus pronounce his unforgettable word: “this is the most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen”.

Brisas Guardalavaca opened its doors 20 years ago, still having the strongest attribute for an all inclusive product: the charm of the staff. As a family hotel, it is not just the facilities and services it includes but the exclusive atmosphere it provides to its customers.

Holguín

Bahía de Naranjo Natural Park

It stretches along 32 km of coast and covers an area of 1,000 hectares. In the coastal area there are spots with mangrove trees, marshy tropical forests and endemic trees, offering the option of following ecotourism paths and enjoying other outdoor activities. Chorro de Maíta

Some 8 km south of the Guardalavaca beach is the largest burial ground to be found in the Antilles. Beside this archaeological cemetery is La Aldea Taína, a theme park with reconstructed scenes from the everyday lives of the native communities, with their hut-like dwellings, their customs and games. It constitutes the most important discovery in Cuba regarding an aboriginal settlement. Thus, the site has been declared National Monument.

Baní Indo-Cuban Museum

The most complete collection relating to Indo-Cuban culture is held in this museum in the town of Banes, known as the archaeological capital of Cuba. It exibits indigenous artifacts such as pottery, jewelry, and tools. Among the thousands of pieces held, two are of particular interest: a solid gold icon, the first to be found in the area, and an indigenous skull with a hole in it similar to one that might be caused by the impact of a bullet. There are also murals depicting indigenous life.
