Hotel Islazul Sierra Maestra, previously known as Hotel Carrusel Sierra Maestra is located in the very heart of Bayamo, one of the earliest villages founded in Cuba and declared a National Monument. For its proximity to museums, this hotel is ideal for historical and cultural tourism fans.

This eclectic museum is housed in the birthplace of composer and violinist Manuel Muñoz Cedeño (1813–95). There are exhibits on the region's colonial history and its geography.
This house on the north side of Parque Céspedes is the birthplace of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, the Father of our Homeland. The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century and it has been a museum since 1968, the centennial anniversary of the signing of the Cuban Declaration of Independence. This museum exhibits pieces of historical value, decorative arts, pieces of furniture and personal objects that belonged to Céspedes, such as his cigar case, the sword, his watch, among others. Also on display is the printing press on which Céspedes published Cuba's first independent newspaper.
